Education

For those of you new to my classroom, please let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Hope Hicks and this is my fifth year as a member of the Owosso teaching staff. I received my Elementary Teaching Certification and Early Childhood Endorsement from the University of Michigan- Flint. I also have earned minors in Social Studies and Language Arts. I am currently enrolled in Master's classes at Marygrove College with a specialty in Reading grades k-6.

Experience

Prior to joining the Central School team, I worked as a Pre-school teacher and an Academic Interventionist in the Lake Fenton District. My mission as a teacher is to foster development through the use of hands-on learning experiences. I feel it is important for activities to encourage students to explore and discover.

Bio

My husband Joshua and I have been married for 6 years. We live in the Hartland area with our 2 cats and our beagle named Lilly. We are expecting our first child in November. We love to ride our snowmobiles, camp, fish, and mainly just be outdoors.
